A Visit from Erin and Tim

Our friends Erin and Tim (from DC) came to visit us last month!! It was a great event in our lives because when we moved to Rochester, Will and I assumed that other than family, we would not have out-of-town visitors!

In fact, Erin and Tim, were our second non-family visitors (my college friend Jodi visited last summer).

So, listen up folks -- COME VISIT US IN ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA!!! We'll give you the grand tour of the town, including taking you to see this Lego reproduction of the Plummer Building (part of the Mayo complex and the site of Will's first office at Mayo)!

Erin loves giraffes, so Will thought it would be fun to buy a 3-D giraffe puzzle for Erin to put together with Abby. Erin didn't find it so fun. Tim (and a beer) were called in for reinforcements!

Eighty Ten Sets of Moves

Abby entertained us tonight with her dancing. She told us that she "has a lot of moves!" I asked her to "bust a move" and she said, "No, I don't bust my moves. I keep them in my head." She then got down and showed us some of her "eighty ten sets of moves!"

Dinosaurs!

Abby LOVES dinosaurs. She's been learning about them in school and talks about them often. Aunt Stephani, Uncle Alex, and Cousin Isobel gave Abby a really cool pop-up dinosaur book and Abby talked Grandma and Grandpa Engelhardt into putting their fingers in T-Rex's mouth!!

Cornel is Abby's imaginary friend. Cornel is a beautiful Appaloosa horse. In this video, Abby talks about Cornel, her husband Bernard (a Percheron) and their ten children!
