Weekend Fossil Hunting

On Saturday we went fossil hunting about 30 miles east of Rochester. Abby thought it was great and was very happy to have her protective eye gear, hammer, and brush.

Paleontologist

Abby wants to be a paleontologist when she grows up. So, I bought her a dinosaur bone digging kit. She loved it and worked very hard for well over an hour to excavate a T-Rex.
Abby squealed when she saw the first bone!
She thought it was very funny to show T-Rex how to dig for bones!

She accurately identified individual bones.
She diligently cleaned the bones!
And then, like the paleontologist diva that she is, she strutted out of the room when she'd dug up all the bones and told me (over her shoulder) that I should clean up and put the bones together!!!

Abby's New Sprinkler

Last week I surprised Abby with a new Finding Nemo water sprinkler! She loves it!

Abby Plants a Garden

Abby and I finally planted our garden last week. After running through her new sprinkler, Abby worked very hard to plant carrots, corn, leeks, Brussels sprouts, orange and yellow peppers, basil, squash, cantaloupe, green beans, and tomatoes.

A Walk in the Rain

We've been getting a bit of rain here and a bit of rain there. Abby loves walking in the rain -- perhaps because she has a really cool umbrella!

No More Free Blog!

I've been wondering when Abby's blog would stop being free. Well, the day has finally come! I've exceeded the free photo storage space, and have been forced to spend $25 for the year to continue adding photos! Oh, well!!! At least I figured out why I have been having problems posting photos this past week! Let the posting resume...
