SOLD!

Somewhat on a whim, we decided to put our house on the market. When it sold in less than 24 hours, we were a bit surprised!!!! But we've purchased a lovely new house (new by our standards, that is) and will move in on Monday, May 12. Our new address is in the mail to you! If you don't receive it in the next week to ten days, let us know!!

We never felt that our neighborhood was particularly friendly, so, after we'd sold the house and were taking our photo in front of the sold sign, we met someone friendly -- Calvin! He was walking to the park to play basketball and good naturedly asked if he could be in our photo. We said yes, and he laughed and laughed! I did warn him that he'd end up on the blog and that made him laugh more!

California

I had to go to California for work, so Abby came along and visited Noni and Granddad. While I was in southern California, Abby collected shells at the beach, visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Pacific Grove Natural History Museum, and did many other wonderful things!
We all took a trip down the coast and over the mountains to visit Mission San Antonio de Padua. The drive was wonderful and we enjoyed being above the clouds!

Abby and I loved stopping at this beautiful river in the Santa Lucia mountains. Abby didn't seem to mind the cold water, and quickly was enjoying the river au naturalle!

The mission was beautiful and we all especially enjoyed the gardens.


And before returning to Minnesota, we spent a lovely afternoon with Abby's friend Tara and her family. Abby and Tara were so happy to see each other and played and played and played!
